THE CASE FOR A MALAYSIAN-HOMEGROWN COACHING CERTIFICATION

Malaysia's first Coaching certification; the CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL COACH is the ANSWER to these serious gaps today:

• Most coaching qualifications are overseas-based; posing challenges like high fees (up to RM20,000 and more), inconvenient learning due to different time zones (like getting into 'classes' in the wee hours of the morning), longer duration to complete (like 2 years and more), etc;
   

• The on-line and tele-class learning environment is  not suitable for effective learning.
   

• There is no personal one-on-one coach-mentor to help you learn; most of these sessions are in groups through tele-classes as well;
   

• Learning is predominantly theoretical; a lot of stuff, but not many practical tips to prepare for real coaching in the world outside.

• All Coaching-related programs organized by Corporate Coach Academy constitute a major part of the Coaching Certification;
• Those who have successfully taken part in these programs earn credit points to get them closer to Certification; thus saving time and money;
• The required number of coaching contact hours, excluding project assignments is a solid 128 hours;
• In the event of a re-sit, only those parts that require reassessment of the particular module/s need to be attended to.

• Coaching Workshop Learning: 80 Hours
  <5 workshops x 2 days x 8 hourly each>
   

• Supervised Coaching Clinics: 40 Hours
  <5 clinics x 8 hourly each>
   

• One-on-One Coach-Mentoring: 8 Hours
  <4 times x 2 hours each>
  
  Total Student Contact Hours: 128 Hours

• Peer-Client Coaching: 20 Hours
  <3 clients x 2 hourly session x minimum 5 times each>
   

• 2 Written Examinations: 6 Hours
  <A Foundation & a Final:

Work-Based Learning

• 5 Sessions of a 2-full day workshop each; made available at an interval of 1-2 months between each workshop;

• The learning direction for each of the 5 workshops are:

Supervised Coaching Clinics

A series of 5 Coaching Clinics of 1 day each.

One-On-One Coaching
 

• Get first hand understanding of real life coaching:
• Help and support you to succeed in  being a certified and competent Coach.

• You are to coach 3 clients; either on pro-bono or professional basis for at least 5 times of 2 hour duration for each session;
• Conforming to the CCA (and ICF) Code of Ethics, you are to obtain consent from your peers or clients to be contacted when deem necessary.
• You are to get and submit a reference letter from each of them, attesting to your coaching relationship and how you have coached them, stating:
  > They engaged you as the Coach;
  > The period, duration and the number
      hours they have been coached;
  > The level of satisfaction.

Examination And Project
 

• Foundation  Examination (3 hours)
• Final Examination (3 hours)

Participants must obtain an average of 60 marks in both the examination in order to pass.

(For those applying for ICF Credentialing, an average of 70 marks is required).

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Duration For Completion

• Must complete the entire learning curriculum successfully within 2 years from time of enrolment;

• The modules can be taken in one block or at different stages as long as they are completed within a 2-year frame.

Minimum Passing Requirements
 

• Attend all of them fully;
• A 3-working day notice is required if there are programs that you are unable to attend.

• Attend all of them fully which are of 2-hours duration in each session;
• Commitment to progress must be demonstrated;
• Assignments must be fully completed.

• Pass both the Foundation and Final examinations;
• Maximum of 2 re-sits allowed for each examination;
• Closed  book examination method of 3 hours each;
• Minimum passing marks: 60 marks (or 70 for ICF Credentialing);

• Demonstrate original work, based on own coaching experience related to coaching knowledge gained;
• 2,000 - 2,500 words in typed written copy;
• Completion within 2 years from time of enrolment;
• Minimum passing marks: 50 marks.

• An Early Booking Offer of RM500 off for those who booked in 2005;

• The Payment Schedule:
  @ A non refundable RM1,000 deposit is required at time of registration:
  @ 2 equal installment payments at an interval of 3 months each.

• Discounts and exemptions, in part or in full,  may be considered for participants who have previously attended public coaching workshops conducted by Corporate Coach Sdn Bhd or Corporate Coach Academy.

PARTNERSHIP TERMS

We like you to take note of these:

• Confirmation of registration is upon full payment;

• No refund for cancellation made after registration.  However, a substitute may be allowed to replace the registered participant; or the total fees paid could be transferred for payment to other programs if cancellation is made with not less than 7 working days notice;

• A 30% forfeiture of the total fees will be deducted for cancellation with less than 7 working days notice; with the balance 70% to be used for  payment for other program.  Where there is a difference in fees structure in the next program, you shall settle the balance;

• The company reserves the rights to change the venue or date of program if deem necessary.
